Tuscan Fine English Bone China teacup and saucer.

Art deco look of pastel primroses in colours of pink, blue, and mauve over a pale yellow ground.
Slight scalloped cup mouth and saucer rim.
Gold trim on mouth rim, footing and handle, as well as saucer rim.
Gold border inside cup
This backstamp dates from 1947-1967 when they stopped using Tuscan in their marks.

No chips, cracks, or crazing - footing of cup shows minor age and use related wear.
Cup - 8,2cm (3.23") mouth diameter x 7,2cm (2.83") tall.
Saucer - 14,3cm (5.63") diameter.

*Tuscan tableware was founded in 1878 Staffordshire, England by R. H. Plant. Staffordshire records show that the Plant family were potters of renown going back at least as far as 1775. Their branded bone-china was known as 'Tuscan' until 1967 after which they were taken over by new parent company, Wedgwood who added the ‘Royal’ prefix for marketing purposes.*
